Krotki poradnik

Justyna Mazur is an award winning polish blogger, behind Krotki poradnik. It’s a blog about life, people and mindset, Justyna touches many difficult subjects and does it very well. She’s changed over the years though and needed her branding to reflect her new state of mind + help her push her brand forward.

Justyna started her blog a few years ago, as a hobby. She have always been a writer type, so starting a blog came naturally to her.

She started sharing her life experiences at the time and quickly gained a lot of readers who related to her stories and life view. She didn’t expect such a huge following, as she didn’t expect winning a prize for the Blog of the Year just a year after starting a blog, and being featured in one of her favourite lifestyle magazines (great job Justyna, well deserved!).

Her blog was supposed to be a place when she shared her thoughts and practises her writing. Justyna had no plans for monetising it or gaining a huge following, so she’s just chosen a simple blog template, asked a friend for a logo and started writing. (By the way I think it’s a great way to start – you should always start BEFORE you’re ready and learn as you go).

After filling my workbook out she’s realised so many goals and dreams she wanted to pursue with her blog! It was clear she is ready for more – my job was to create a brand that will support her and communicate her new attitude to others.
Turned out she didn’t only want a new visual appearance, but brand new blog, categories and ways of reaching her audience.

She wanted to be seen differently.

As she described it herself:
“I don’t want to be perceived as a sad, lonely and shy girl I used to be anymore. Not many people know I am actually a fun person.”
I really wanted to capture that – I wanted to create a brand that will reflect her personality. Only then would she identify with it and it will work in her favour.
When we spoke, she described her old logo as reflecting her old self: ” a lonely girl with a cat, who writes and reads something”.
She couldn’t identify with all this anymore and she felt she was stuck – her old branding was simply dragging her down. She didn’t feel empowered by her branding enough to start new things she wanted to start, reach new audiences and change her blog profile as well.
We’ve created a very elegant brand that feels like HER and gave her wings to promote her business and finally start seeing it as brought to reality, not just a dream or work in progress. Irina is now ready to conquer the world and achieve huge success, which I’m sure she will.

I desperately needed to rebrand for few reasons. Firstly, my blog template and overall look was old, but the most important problem was my actual branding.
My previous logo has been created in 2012, and event though it was very clever and reflected my personality at the time very well, it became not relevant anymore. Most of all I can’t identify with it any longer. It communicated one simple thing: single girl with a cat, who reads and writes.

Rebranding has been on my mind for many months now (but life got in the way is it usually happens), then the Universe sent Alex in – she was very keen on creating a brand for me. I was certain it all is going to take a few days at most: Alex is going to find me a new blog template, redesign a logo a bit and that will be it. I was very wrong!

Alex has had many conversations with me, gave me a few workbooks to fill out that helped me answer some key questions: who is my reader and who I want him/her to be, who am I for my readers and how they perceive me and my blog. Answers to those questions have started a series of changes I made to my blog and my mindset.

Thanks to Alex I have a beautiful new blog that is minimalistic, classic and editorial. I’ve got new categories and a whole new set of individual templates I can use for my social media to stay consistent across all channels.
To say that I’m thrilled is not enough. Alex gave a new life to my blog and to me. I love starting new and a new branding is a brand new start.
